Anna Paquin, Scarlett Johansson, and Mila Kunis at the White House Correspondents' Dinner
Trust a few Hollywood starlets to turn the Beltway into the runway.
A selection of designer gowns won our vote at the 2011 White House Correspondents' Dinner, where A-listers mingled with politicians to give Washington, D.C., a dose of glamour.
Sporting a short wavy bob in a striking new shade of crimson, Scarlett Johansson led the pack in a muted blue-gray Elie Saab Haute Couture Fall 2010 cocktail dress featuring crystal details, an embroidered hem, and a deep V-neckline. Chopard's 55-carat, heart-shaped diamond Riviera necklace and 4-carat, platinum-set diamond stud earrings completed the look, along with a champagne satin clutch and nude platform pumps.
Mila Kunis, meanwhile, kept it simply chic in a sexy strapless black Versace Fall 2011 number boasting a structured bodice, leg-baring slit, and pockets accented with gold Medusa logo buttons. Wearing her hair in a tasteful slicked-back bun and sporting smoky gray eyes, the actress accessorized with a black Versace clutch; 18k yellow gold diamond C stud earrings, a Love cuff bracelet, and an onyx panther cocktail ring, all from Cartier.
Anna Paquin supplied a shot of color with her form-fitting bordeaux Hervé L. Leroux asymmetrical gown, which she paired with a vintage House of Lavande ruby cuff, soft makeup, and an elegant chignon.

Rashida Jones, America Ferrera, and Tory Burch at the White House Correspondents' Dinner
America Ferrera, Rashida Jones, and Tory Burch all wowed in blue designs, ranging from Jones' strapless cobalt number to Burch's navy frilled gown.
Last but not least, First Lady Michelle Obama also made a big impression thanks to a chocolate-hued Halston empire-waist gown paired with layered necklaces and stacks of bangles from Irit Designs.
So much for politics as usual!
