Gwen Stefani opts for bold prints in the October issue.
After paying tribute to pink for her September Harper's Bazaar shoot, Gwen Stefani is singing the praises of British designers in the October issue of Elle U.K.
The No Doubt frontwoman makes a bold statement on the Matt Irwin-lensed October cover thanks to a peplum-waisted top from Peter Pilotto paired with a floral skirt from the McQ by Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 collection.
Inside, U.K. talent like Mary Katrantzou and Christopher Kane get some love as Stefani opens up about juggling motherhood, a music career, and her L.A.M.B. fashion line.
"I’ve missed the last couple of Fashion Weeks because of school," the singer says. "I can’t leave the kids, I can’t miss the first week of kindergarten. I just can’t. He’s [Gavin Rossdale] home now for, like, seven days, so just him being home makes everything different. In a good way. But also in a hard way because it changes everything.”
The kids may come first, but fashion will always hold a special place in Stefani's heart.
“I just love getting dressed," she tells the magazine. "It wouldn’t matter that there were people waiting outside my house or not, I would always get properly dressed. Ask anyone from before, from the first nine years [of the band], any of my friends.”
Oh, we believe you, girl.
