Is it just us, or has the previously ubiquitous Lady Gaga been lying a bit low lately? While fellow pop stars Madonna and Nicki Minaj have been grabbing headlines lately, the singer’s been preparing for her return to the spotlight with her upcoming Born This Way Ball tour, which kicks off in Seoul on April 27—with the help of a seriously fashionable friend.

Giorgio Armani, who has created many a Gaga ensemble in the past, has collaborated with her for a custom wardrobe for the tour, complete with all the over-the-top elements we’ve come to expect: latex, metal, studs, spikes, PVC, and one creation that integrates a slew of musical instruments. (Will she play…herself? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!)
“Collaborating with Lady Gaga is always an exciting experience for me," said Armani in a release. "I admire the way she uses fashion as a scenic element and as a means to build a character. She is an artist of many talents and great intelligence. Creating stage costumes for her is a stimulating and creative exercise."
