PETA Names Janet Jackson ‘Grinch of the Year’

manolo blahnkik
You're a mean one, Janet Jackson? The face of Blackglama is PETA's Grinch of the Year.

They’ve targeted Kim Kardashian and Rihanna—among others—in 2011, but Janet Jackson is really on PETA’s naughty list.

The singer has been named the Grinch of the Year in a poll conducted by the animal rights organization and WENN, Contact Music reports. (Sorry, Ms. Jackson!)

“While the holidays may be known as the season of giving and peace on earth, that's not always the case for our animal friends,” PETA spokeswoman Wendy Wegner said.

"When Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction during Super Bowl Xxxviii, at least what popped into view of 170 million onlookers belonged to her, unlike the animal skins she drapes herself in, which are as dead as her fashion taste and her career." (Ouch.)

Jackson is the face of fur line Blackglama, and recently designed her own mink-heavy collection for the brand.

"I've worked for years to bring a collection into the world,” Jackson said of the partnership last month. “Partnering with Blackglama is very exciting."
