Katie Holmes Covers Marie Claire, Talks Fashion Line
Joey Potter would be proud! The last time we saw her posing on a glossy, Katie Holmes was all sexed up in skintight lace and a leather cap—but for Marie Claire’s November issue, the actress is back to her lovely, girl-next-door self.
Mrs. Tom Cruise poses on the cover in a bright red Yves Saint Laurent jacket and loose locks, while inside, she sports pieces by Vionnet, Zero + Maria Cornejo, and more.
And though there’s no sign of her own clothing line, Holmes & Yang, she does mention in the cover story that she’s looking forward to growing her label.
"I feel ready…for the next chapter of my life,” she said.
“I'm excited to begin a new phase: roles I might have been afraid to play before, places I want to travel to with my daughter. I'd like to build the design business. But not too fast."
Well, as they say, slow and steady wins the race.
