Uma Thurman's Schweppes Campaign
Carmen Miranda's got nothing on Uma Thurman.
As the new face of Schweppes (yes, the beverage), the actress goes over-the-top for a vibrant print campaign shot by famed photographer David LaChapelle.
Wearing a selection of low-cut, leg-baring gowns in tropical hues along with head scarves, stacks of chunky bangles, and giant floral hair accessories, the Kill Bill star works up a thirst in a campy-meets-glamorous shoot that's heavy on fruit, flowers and foxiness.
Thurman, who replaces previous campaign star Nicole Kidman, also appears in a European commercial (watch it above) that recalls the film junket scene from Notting Hill.
Interviewed by a cute young reporter, the former Louis Vuitton model—sporting a revealing gold gown and intense purple eye shadow—provocatively raves about her love for Schweppes.
"I love Schweppes," she purrs, "and I need to have it all the time. I like to have Schweppes with strangers. I like having Schweppes at home. Or sometimes in a taxi."
Sure enough, the reporter mistakes "Schweppes" for "sex," only to be corrected by Thurman, who swigs a bottle to prove her point.
Did somebody say Clio?
Meanwhile, Thurman might have some beverage competition from Karl Lagerfeld's Diet Coke campaign.
