L'Wren Scott Launches First Scent
L’Wren Scott launched her first scent, and we can imagine the designer's signature blend of sexy/sleek in the form of a fierce fragrance.
The designer celebrated her debut perfume, called L’Wren Scott, with a personal appearance at Barneys New York’s Manhattan flagship store.
Scott, who had been in talks with Barneys about the fragrance for two years, told Women's Wear Daily she's been mixing her own essential oils since she was hooked on Guerlain’s Apres l’Ondée at the age of 17.
Scott said, “[Mick Jagger] definitely noticed a lot of perfume testing going on.”
The spicy and sensual scent opens with top notes of absinthe, star anise, coriander, mandarin and marigold, followed by a heart of tuberose, jasmine, geranium, curry and clove buds, with a drydown comprised of Brazilian patchouli, musk, leather, amber and moss.
Priced at $195 for 3.4 oz., the eau de parfum will be sold exclusively at Barneys for six to eight months, after which the fragrance will be distributed globally.
