Birchbox's Beauty Survey Says: Readers Love Blake Lively's Beachy Waves and Neon Nails

Birchbox gives us the inside scoop on beauty trends across the country, from fake nails to favorite celeb hairstyles in a special summer 2012 survey.
The genius beauty site that sends members monthly boxes of beauty samples, polled 10,000 ladies, revealing some surprising stats on everything from SPF to spray tans.

Blake Lively's tousled waves beat out Nicole Richie's signature side-swept bangs and Michelle Williams's perfect pixie. As much as we adore Michelle's adorable bob, the Gossip Girl is an obvious winner with 52% of the votes. Paired with her sun-kissed glow, Lively nails the beachy bomshell look every time with her golden wind-swept waves.
46% also chose beachy waves as the trend they are most excited about, with 22% saying statement nails, 20% choosing bright lips and 12% opting for bold brows.
A large percentage of ladies proved to be beauty risk-takers: 42% would wear neon nails, 72% would apply false lashes and 65% would try at-home waxing.
