Dita Von Teese, Artdeco Team Up for Makeup Line
We're seeing a lot of ruby-red lips and black liquid eyeliner in our beauty future.
After writing a beauty book and creating her own fragrance, Dita Von Teese is looking to boost her beauty profile with the launch of her own makeup collection for Artdeco, Women's Wear Daily reports.
The German brand will launch the Dita Von Teese Classics line across Europe (read: not in the U.S., sob) in mid-June as part of a year-long collaboration with the enterprising burlesque star, who also recently unveiled her own dress and lingerie collections.
Inspired by Von Teese's ravishing pin-up girl looks (she does her hair and makeup herself!), the range will include six lipsticks, two lip liners, a lip lacquer, 12 eye shadows, mascara, false lashes (some with rhinestones), a powder compact, four blushes, gel and pencil eyeliners, and four nail polish colors.

“I was really motivated by things I personally wanted in my makeup kit,” explains Von Teese, who emerged from an oversized compact and applied makeup as she performed a striptease at a promotional event in Munich last week.
Priced from roughly $6 for an individual eye shadow to $31 for a powder compact, the products are presented in sleek black packaging with a sketch of Von Teese along with vintage boudoir-esque accents.
A Fall 2012 color collection is also in the works, as is a more luxurious offering.
In the meantime, we'll just have to hope that some kind-hearted European pal sends us some samples. We can already feel the cat eye envy setting in.
