Cameron Diaz Gives Us the Facts About Aging In Her New Book

In 2013 Cameron Diaz shared her journey to finding health, happiness and strength with us in The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body. This book gave us practical advice, based on both scientific research and Diaz’s real life struggles, and shot to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list.

Now she’s back with another book - The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time. Written in a similar style as her first book (the books have the same co-author, Sandra Bark) this follow-up discusses the process of aging – what happens, how it happens, and what we can do to help the process go a bit more gently.

“First and foremost, we need good nutrition, good sleep, good physical activity—and I don’t mean just working out a gym for two hours then sitting for eight. We need constant movement, periodically, throughout the day. Then we need to learn how to release stress. We also need to find a connection or purpose with the community around us.” Cameron answered when Bon Appetit recently asked her about the 5 pillars of well-being she mentions in her latest book.

Nothing is off limits in her books, with discussions ranging from nitty gritty health facts to sex - Cameron isn’t afraid to just tell it like it is.

As if the book wasn’t filled with enough information, Cameron has launched ourbodybook.com to provide even more health and happiness tips! Her welcome message on the site reads: “If you want to live better and feel better, you’ve got to get real, get knowledgeable and get on it. I know you can do it!”
