Kanye West To Premiere Film at Cannes
Kanye West is getting his snob on, this time at Cannes.
Pitchfork reports today that the rapper-cum-designer will be premiering a new long-form video at the film festival on May 23.
Cruel Summer (no relation to the Bananarama classic) co-stars West pals Kid Cudi and Aziz Ansari, and is directed by West himself. Stylist Renelou Padora (who's contributed to Interview and Flaunt) designed the costumes, while artist Vanessa Beecroft is credited as the production designer, according to the film's poster.
Given the Riviera setting and Kanye's fashionable group of friends, we're sure that the crowd will be dressed to the nines. If you're going to be in Cannes (lucky you!) you can register for a free ticket here. Just make sure to leave your sport coat, khaki trench coat, off-brand workout sneakers and oversized striped scarf at home—or risk a Twitter tongue-lashing from the Louis Vuitton Don himself.
