Last minute Mother's Day shoppers: you had better make your gift count. And if your mother is anything like ours, doing a little charity alongside a shiny present not only says how much you love her, but that you listen to her as well.
From now through Mother's Day, Monique Péan is planting 100 trees for each item the brand sells on Barneys.com. Yes, 100 trees. The jeweler is partnering with Trees for the Future, a charitable organization which combats deforestation.
So not only will Mom have a gorgeous new necklace, earrings, or ring, but a much smaller carbon footprint. Now that's a gift.
