Charlotte Casiraghi Named Gucci's New Face
Charlotte Casiraghi has it all: a royal pedigree (Princess Grace of Monaco was her grandmother), a Vogue Paris cover-worthy punim and plenty of strings to her bow—she's a journalist, most recently for sustainability mag EVER Manifesto, and is an accomplished horsewoman to boot. And now, she's got a Gucci wardrobe coming her way.
The Italian house has anointed the 25-year-old beauty as its new face, replacing Evan Rachel Wood. However, this isn't their first linkup: since May 2010, Casiraghi has been Gucci's equestrian ambassador, which means, among other things, that she competes in custom outfits designed by Gucci creative director Frida Giannini. In addition to the world's most luxe jodhpurs, Casiraghi has sported the brand's gold-detailed jumpsuit and bold primary-colored separates on the party circuit, and we could see her looking fab in this season's film noir-influenced collection. Now, pardon us while we fan the flames of our envy.
