Michelle Obama Wears Peter Som at Smithsonian Museum
Michelle Obama stepped out in a custom Peter Som ensemble at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. The museum is scheduled to open in 2015.
A young gun in the world of American sportswear, Som has quickly become one of the First Lady's go-to designers. His coat-and-dress combo was the perfect balance of pretty and polished for the monumental occasion.
A watercolor print gave the coat's classic cut a modern edge, while Mary Jane kitten heels finished off the sophisticated-chic look.
