When it comes to shoes, we’re equal opportunity obsessives. We love ‘em sky-high or flat, platform or single-sole, pointy, rounded, knee-high, slingback, lace-up and everywhere in between—which is why New York Fashion Week’s Fall 2012 season was such a joy to watch.
Sure, there were plenty of boots—it is Fall, after all—but even these got eye-popping extras like exotic skins, tassels and furs. And when it comes to pumps, basic is no longer in our vocabulary.
