Joy Cioci blue dress fur coat

Wouldn't you love to wear some Olivier Theyskens or Tom Ford right now? I can't be the only one who longs for their clothes. This is where Joy Cioci comes in. She just launched her eponymous line and studied under both designers. Her sexy, tailored clothes are evidence of that.

Joy's Cara coat (I know, a coat I love, big surprise) comes with a removable fur collar and has a ruffled bottom ($1,295). Normally I'm not a ruffles kind of gal, but these are kind of lovely; they lay low and don't flare out.

Preen

I'm obsessed with Preen. Obsessed. Which is sometimes unfortunate for me because their body-con pieces are not a good look on my figure. But Fall had some more forgiving silhouettes. Praise the heavens!

The skirt—and how I love a good skirt—is a mini over a longer skirt ($1,293). But don't be fooled; this isn't conservative in any way. That slit goes up to there and your legs will be showing for miles. Invest in some good safety pins perhaps. Every girl needs a go-to item for when you're seeing your ex. Ladies, this is it.

Mike Gonzalez jackets

Mike Gonzalez is from the mastermind behind Mike & Chris. I at first thought the line had broken up and freaked out at the showroom—awkward. But this is an offshoot of the ever-popular brand. So worry not: Mike and Chris are still very much together and married, and Mike is still designing great outerwear.

Aside from the new name, this label has introduced some new loungewear. Great for L.A., but I don't know many people in New York who go out in track suits. That said, these make for great separates. Pair the tops with jeans and you have a great casual weekend look.

Brian Atwood studded flats

Brian Atwood's shoes are like red velvet cake—I can stare at them all I want but they're still not good for me. Higher than high, dangerously sexy, I'll no doubt injure myself as I teeter around in them. Let's just say I'm of the clumsy variety.

So you can imagine how thrilled I was that Atwood has evening flats for Fall. The Didi Borchie is a pale pink suede with studded grommets and tied with a ribbon. It's soft and sweet but rock and roll at the same time. I used to say I'd never pay a lot for flats. For these I will.
