The queen wore a cheery butter-hued single crepe wool primrose dress by Angela Kelly with hand-sewn beading at the neck in the shape of sun rays.

The newlyweds were beaming as they stepped out of Westminster Abbey and into a horse-drawn carriage to take them to Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s reception.

The wedding dress featured lace appliqué on the bodice and a handmade full skirt. Individual flowers were hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle to create a “unique and organic design” incorporating roses, thistle, daffodil and shamrock.

Waving his white-gloved hand at the mobs of onlookers, Prince William made his way into Westminster Abbey wearing a red jacket with a four-button arrangement and gold and crimson sash.
