Karen Walker's "sea monster" collection has us packing for Palm Springs and embracing the kitsch.

Donna Karan showed two shows today. The first, a fast parade of outerwear for her Casual Luxe line, continued a bit with the tough streets of New York theme we saw at DKNY. Leather, layers, and alpaca wool walked out in quick succession. Then, darkness. Cue a jazzier, slower soundtrack. Welcome to Donna Karan.

There’s nothing like a Chris Benz presentation to put you in a good mood just past the halfway point of Fashion Week. At the designer’s presentation at Avery Fisher Hall, even the music was an instant pick-me-up.

Attention, model off duty types! Olivier Theyskens has put his glam spin on grunge once again for Theory, and girly types and preppies need not apply here.
