Iris Apfel's MAC collection features Robin's Egg eye shadow, Scarlet Ibis lipstick, and Oriele Orange nail lacquer.

Age before beauty? Why not both?

After joining forces with Gareth Pugh and Daphne Guinness, MAC has tapped 90-year-old style icon Iris Apfel for its latest beauty collaboration, launching early next year.

Celebrated by the beauty brand as a "rare bird ... who boldly mixed flea market finds with haute couture decades before doing it was considered de rigueur," Apfel has conceived a line rich with punchy bold shades and avian-inspired names like Party Parrot (a red-pink matte lipstick) and Toco Toucan (a blue fuchsia nail polish).

As the bespectacled HSN designer demonstrates in her beyond-chic campaign, which sees her rocking what looks like teal Robin's Egg eye shadow, red-orange Scarlet Ibis lippy, and coral Oriele Orange nails, this collection isn't one for the color-shy.

Priced from $14 to $23 and available in stores from January 5 to February 9, the vibrant line encompasses lipsticks, eye shadows, nail polish, powder, mascara, and eye, brow, and lip pencils.

Talk about senior class!

Meanwhile, check out other MAC collaborations we'd love to see.
