Tinker Bell Inspires PixiGlow Beauty Line
One good pixie deserves another, eh?
Petra Strand's Pixi beauty brand has joined forces with Disney to create PixiGlow, a new collection inspired by none other than Peter Pan's foxy fairy pal, Tinker Bell, Women's Wear Daily reports.
“They [Disney] approached us saying we were all about a touch of magic and they have the most famous fairy in the world and let’s figure out a way to work together,” Strand tells WWD of the collaboration, which will launch exclusively at Target, Boots, and Pixi's U.K. flagship for Spring 2012.
True to its name and muse, the whimsical line will pack plenty of sparkle via products like Fairy Dust, a shimmering powder encased in a pale green wand decorated with roses.
Priced from $14 to $34, the range also includes a Magic Tink Tint gel lip crayon; the Straight on Til Morning Liner; a Fairytale Face Palette; and Chasing Shadows Crayons for the eyes.
Shoppers won't be the only ones getting a makeover. Disney character artist John Quinn gave Tinker Bell a vintage-inspired twist for the line's packaging and materials. Surely that's worth a round of applause?
Meanwhile, Twilight has spawned a beauty buy of its own.
