Looking for the perfect gift for the person who has everything? Look no further than Creel and Gow, a gem of a store that opens October 1st on 70th and Lexington.

Jamie Creel and Christopher Gow bring their superb sense of design to this beautiful boutique filled with treasures, including silver dipped shells, ostrich eggs, malachite obelisks (my personal favorite), zebra rugs, tasteful taxidermy, coral, anything that respects and celebrates nature. The owners will be traveling the world to find fresh and exciting new products, to keep clients coming back.

Creel and Gow being two of the most popular people I know, the opening last night overflowed onto the sidewalk, under the temporary awning put up in case of a downpour, which luckily never materialized. A select few walked over to the chic dinner at the Explorer's Club afterwards, the perfect venue to continue the nature theme. Carlos Mota designed the tables, and they were breathtaking, incorporating leaves, butterflies, ostrich eggs and other nods to the unique merchandise.

Impressed guests included Tory Burch, Jamie Tisch, Tracy and Jay Snyder, Juan Pablo Molyneux, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Gigi and Avie Mortimer, Dennis Basso and Carol Mack. Creel's brother Larry gave a funny and touching toast celebrating his brother.

Lovely evening.
