Rafael Nadal's Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans Video Teaser
Rafael Nadal trades his tennis whites for a pair of black briefs in the new Emporio Armani Underwear and Armani Jeans campaign video teaser.
While fellow spokesmodel Megan Fox’s recent ad featured feminine flourishes like billowing sheer fabric and seductive techno beats, Nadal’s campaign takes an edgier approach.
The moody black-and-white video, which is accompanied by a screechy soundtrack, opens with glass shattering and falling into a pool of water; in the reflection of the ripples is the shadowy torso of the Spanish hottie.
Next, the two-time Wimbledon champ, baring his body in black Emporio Armani Underwear, is seen facing a wall. The camera then pans up and down his six-pack, which—behold!—is now complemented by a pair of distressed Armani jeans. The clip ends with a damp-haired Nadal gazing seductively into the camera.
In January, Nadal joined the ranks of David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo as the latest sportsman to strip for Armani, posing for a series of moody shots for photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot.
“He always chose interesting clothes for tennis, like long trousers or long sleeves on court— he wears a lot of color,” Roberta Armani said of Nadal at the time, according to the Daily Mail. “He is not just an amazing sportsman but also an artist. I’m so proud he is joining the family.”
