Zadig & Voltaire Opening Paris Hotel, Which ‘Won’t Be Open to Chinese Tourists’

In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, brand founder and owner Thierry Gillier revealed that the hotel, located on Paris’s Left Bank, will be, shall we say, extremely exclusive.
“It will be a slightly private hotel, not open to everybody, with 40 rooms,” Gillier told WWD at his label’s Spring 2013 presentation, which was held in the private mansion which will be transformed into the hotel.

“We are going to select guests. It won’t be open to Chinese tourists, for example. There is a lot of demand in Paris—many people are looking for quiet hotels with a certain privacy.”
And, we take it, no Chinese tourists.
We’re sure no offense was meant, but perhaps we’ll stick with Le Holiday Inn just to be on the safe side.
