In September's issue, Condé Nast Traveler names 12 noteworthy global citizens—Hilary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, among them—and includes fashion and beauty trendsetters Christy Turlington Burns and Olivia Wilde.

It's not the Vogue 120, but do take note.

The '90s supermodel, and current member of the Harvard Medical School Global Health Council, is more than just a pretty face. Same goes for the actress and Revlon spokesmodel Wilde.

Turlington Burns is the founder of Every Mother Counts, an organization that aims to improve maternal health globally. She's in the midst of getting a Master's in public health at Columbia but has tabled her classwork for the moment so she can travel internationally with the group as well as screen her documentary about international maternal mortality rates, No Woman, No Cry.

Meanwhile, Olivia Wilde is making strides in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. As a member of Artists for Peace and Justice, the actress has become involved in the Haitian education system. Wilde has corralled donors like Penélope Cruz and Daniel Craig to pledge $70,000 a year (hopefully for the next seven years) to fund the Academy for Peace and Justice, the first free secondary school in the impoverished country.
