'Twas a dismal day when we realized Betsey Johnson, having filed for Chapter 11, would not be at New York Fashion Week next month.

Where would we get our cartwheeling and excellent music fix to raise our waning energy?

So this is a particularly brightening piece of information we heard today: she will be there, after all. And we don't mean in spirit.

Even though she has shuttered her eponymous line, Betsey's doubling up on her comeback plan: first, she announces a dress collection, and now? She's planning a retrospective for New York Fashion Week. Rejoice!

We hear reports the bleach-haired designer is soliciting wares from the '60s to '80s from her Facebook fans. Entrants' duds will be considered for the catwalk, and fans who submit could win a ticket to the show. Runners-up snag doodles from Betsey herself.
