Jil Sander Said Returning To Her Own Label
Apparently, you can go home again.
First there was this morning’s shakeup regarding Raf Simons’ departure from the brand, with talk swirling about whether he was headed for a Dior post.
Now the International Herald Tribune is reporting that Sander herself is returning to the label that she started in 1968. The famously camera-shy Sander, who decamped in 2005, went on to design a critically acclaimed Uniqlo diffusion line, +J, for several seasons before ending her linkup with the fast-fashion purveyor last year.

The German designer's distinctly minimalist sensibility has been missing from the high-fashion scene for some time, and we're excited to see what she has in store for her return. And we have to wonder whether this will be the last Milan Fashion Week bombshell, or whether there are more coming our way.
