Vanessa Hudgens is the new face of Candies.
“Ever since I saw Fergie do the ads for Candie’s, I fell in love,” says the star of the upcoming Sucker Punch and Beastly. “It’s such an honor to be a Candie’s girl now.”
The campaign was shot by Tony Duran at the ’50s-flavored Pink Motel in Sun Valley, Calif. In true fun-loving Candie’s style, Hudgens is seen posing poolside in a pink-and-black cherry-print bikini with pink-and-black polka-dot trim; strutting her stuff in a multicolor rose-print maxi dress, using the motel’s diner counter as her runway; and playfully digging into a burger and fries in a sweet pink dress with a bow at the waist.
Hudgens’s favorite Candie’s piece? “I love the long maxi skirts because they’re so easy. You throw them on, throw on a cute little top… and you’re so good to go. It’s super-cute and bohemian, and I love it!” says the star, whose style influences include Nicole Richie, Bianca Jagger, and Mary-Kate Olsen (“She’s so crazy and out there”).
The Spring 2011 campaign, in which Hudgens models “sunglasses, shoes, handbags—everything a girl could ever need,” will début in March issues of fashion and lifestyle magazines, including Seventeen, Teen Vogue, and Cosmopolitan, and online at Kohl’s, where Candie’s is sold exclusively.
Until then, you can follow Hudgens on the Candie’s Twitter page.
