Nicole Richie Owns 200 Pairs of Sunglasses
Nicole Richie is one shady lady!
In the May issue of Teen Vogue, the Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 designer confesses that she owns more than 200 pairs of sunglasses.
“I view them as fun masks to accessorize your face,” says Richie, who is quick to add that despite evidence to the contrary, she’s not fanatical about frames. “In my defense, I make sunglasses, so I have to research-shop, and I own every pair I’ve ever designed.”
As long as hubby Joel Madden buys that excuse, who are we to argue?
Richie, who arrived at her Teen Vogue interview wearing round black House of Harlow 1960 shades, Jet jeans, a red leather jacket, and heels, also tells the magazine that eyewear is a great way to switch up her go-to ensembles like a loose printed dress or jeans and a tee.
“You change the look with accessories,” she explains. “And by accessories, I mean sunglasses, head scarves, shoes, bed jackets.”
One thing the mom-of-two never varies is her No. 1 style rule: Keep it comfortable.
“These are super-high,” she says of her interview shoes, “but because they have a built-in platform, they don’t feel like it. I am not that girl who can do super-arched heels. All the shoes I design have a cushion and a platform.”
And speaking of shoes, that makes us wonder: Just how many pairs of those does Richie own? Hmm …
