After much ‘will it or won’t it’ speculation, J.W. Anderson’s fall 2016 men’s show hit Grindr, a social-networking app for gay men, on Sunday!

Rumors immediately circulated that this was maybe not the show that must go on, and that underage models were held back from attending. J.W. Anderson put these rumors to rest, confirming to New York Times “I think at the beginning there was a bit of unknowingness, which was stressful.” Then he went on to add that the show was “exactly the way it should be.”

Anderson summed up his decision to partner with Grindr by telling New York Times, “We’re all humans, so we all have to be somewhat sexually attractive to someone.  That’s the name of the game with clothing.”

During the 24 hours Grindr had the video accessible on their app the show received about 100,000 views – not a bad Grindr debut!

Where will fashion go next?
