Looks from Repetto's new ready-to-wear line
It's time to twirl and pirouette!
The iconic French ballet-slipper brand Repetto launched it's first ready-to-wear collection on Tuesday.
Designed by Emilie Luc-Duc, the collection features 18 simple pieces inspired by dancers' clothing from flowy skirts, and stretchy dresses.
The palette also mimics that of a dancers' wardrobe with soft pastels interspersed with jet black.
"We see a big enthusiasm for ballet," Repetto's chief executive officer Jean-Marc Gauchet said. "After ballet flats and leather goods, [ready-to-wear] was important to complete the silhouette."
With this launch, Repetto hopes to grow significantly and has already created a larger working space as well as the addition of two new stores.
And while these are not necessarily "statement making" pieces, they will no doubt be a staple in many a persons' wardrobe — ballet dancer or not.
