Ivana Omazic, the designer who preceded Phoebe Philo at Céline, has just been appointed a position in a "senior creative capacity" at Maison Martin Margiela, according to WWD.

Unlike other fashion houses where there is one primary designer or "creative director," Maison Martin Margiela houses a team of designers that work collectively to create each collection. When questioned about their latest hire, a spokesman for Maison Martin Margiela declined to comment at the risk of revealing individual designers, which would destroy the "creative collective" atmosphere.

What's curious is that Ivana Omazic's hire was made so public. Are major changes happening at the Margiela house that have yet to be revealed?

Stay tuned.
