Rihanna Designing Fashion Line for U.K.’s River Island
Is it just us, or is Rihanna launching a one-woman campaign to get us to move to England?
Just last week we got our first peek at the pop star's upcoming fashion reality show, Styled to Rock, which, alas, will only air in the U.K.
Now comes word that the Bajan babe—who cut her designing teeth with a collaboration for Armani Jeans—will design a fashion collection for British retail chain River Island, Vogue U.K. reports.
That's it—we're headed to Heathrow.

"I've been wanting to design my own collection for some time," Rihanna says of the capsule collection, which will be available in Spring 2013. "River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family-run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I'm looking forward to working with them and creating something really special."
"We are thrilled to be collaborating with Rihanna and to be the first fashion brand to work with her in this way," adds Ben Lewis, chief executive of the high-street favorite. "Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion. As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit. Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love."
Interestingly, Rihanna's camp previously denied reports linking her to River Island, which surfaced after she was seen wearing their clothes. The fragrance star had also been rumored to be in talks with Topshop, but that no longer appears to be an option.
Fingers crossed the line hits ASOS.com. We need our RiRi fix!
