Tod’s CEO Launches Italian High-Speed Train
Talk about diversifying your business! Diego Della Valle, chief executive officer of Tod’s Group, has unveiled a brand-new venture: NTV Italo, a high-speed train service in Italy, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
The luxury mogul developed the project in partnership with Luca di Montezemolo, the president of Ferrari. The trains will run through 12 stations in nine different Italian cities: Turin, Milan, Venice, Padova, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples, and Salerno. The aerodynamic trains use about 30 percent less energy than a TGV train and have plenty of luxury amenities, including a cinema coach, free Wi-Fi, and gourmet food from Eataly.
