Robert Duffy and Fergie to Be Honored by amfAR
His company just announced its plans to launch a makeup line, but for Marc Jacobs International president Robert Duffy, fashion and beauty are only part of his business.
Duffy, who has been an active advocate of HIV and AIDS charities, will be honored at this year’s amfAR Inspiration Gala, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
“The charity work we do is the most rewarding part of my work, and HIV/AIDS organizations are something I have been involved in for years,” Duffy told WWD. “I feel lucky that Marc has always been so supportive of all the projects I get involved in.”
And as though the Marc presence weren’t enough, the event, to be held June 7 at the New York Public Library, will get an extra dose of glam from its other honoree: Fergie. Expect plenty of flashbulbs!
