All suited up: A look at Vera Wang's new tuxedo collection.
Hold on to your cummerbunds, gents. Vera Wang is doing menswear.
Ok, so it's not a full line, but the queen of bridal has joined forces with Men's Wearhouse to launch Black by Vera Wang.
“For more than twenty years, I have shared my design vision with women around the world, so it is exciting to now have the opportunity to share that with men as well,” Wang said in a press release. “With an exceptional reputation as one the largest men’s specialty retailers, Men’s Wearhouse was a natural retail partner for the Black by Vera Wang collection.”
Black will initially have two tuxedo styles on offer to rent: a traditional black and a chic grey. Both have a slim fit, lightweight fabric, and will guarantee you'll look ultra chic on your big day.

Looking suave in his tux.
We know, rental? Vera Wang? In the same sentence? But really, how many men do you know who own their own tuxedo? (Feel free to send them our way incidentally—we love men who can dress!) This smart collaboration takes pressure off men regarding what to wear walking down the aisle and is ideal for the bride who wants an all-Vera wedding.
Size-wise, the suits come in standard, slim and big and tall fits. And with the flat-front pants for both, and gros-grain ribbon detailing on the black tux (satin edging on the gray) these are decidedly more upscale than the old baby blue standby.
The tuxes are available starting April (the black version) and August for the grey. See your local Men's Wearhouse for pricing.
