Portrait of a lady: One of the Grace Coddington by Willie Christie photos currently on display

Most people know her as the ridiculously talented creative director of Vogue and unlikely hero of The September Issue.

But for photographer Willie Christie, Grace Coddington is something entirely different: a former spouse and one of his favorite subjects.

Christie’s gorgeous portraits of the flame-haired former model (along with snaps of the likes of Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Jerry Hall) are currently in Christie's Limited Edition Collection show at London’s Eight Club—but for those who can’t make the trip across the pond, Nowness has a selection of some of the ultra-dreamy images.

"She simplified things,” Christie told the site of Coddington’s influence on his photography. “Sometimes you need only a metaphor of a set, a hint of what it might be. A story going on just out of frame.”

And though the two divorced in the late ‘70s, Coddington remains something of a muse for Christie.

"I would love to work with Grace again on a mutual artistic project,” he said. “She's just so brilliantly talented, an intuitive visionary."

No argument here.
