Ikram Goldman to Receive Legend of Fashion Award

Ikram Goldman, who shot to fame as Michelle Obama's style adviser, is about to get some additional (and well-deserved) recognition.
The Chicago retailer is set to receive the Legend of Fashion Award from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May, WWD reports.
Presented by Sally Singer, editor of T: The New York Times Style Magazine, the award's past recipients include Anna Sui and Nicole Miller.
"It should prove a shining moment for Goldman, who is reportedly planning to open a new, larger 10,000- to 12,000-square-foot bi-level Chicago store featuring men’s and women’s apparel and a cafe along Huron Street around the same time," the paper notes.
