Musée d'Orsay Threatens Legal Action Over Etam Lingerie Stunt
There are flash mobs, and then there are flash mobs.
Much to its chagrin, the esteemed Musée d'Orsay in Paris was graced with the latter as Etam Lingerie hired three models to strip down to their undies in the middle of the Impressionist museum's galleries, the Telegraph reports.
A video of the sexy stunt sees the ladies entering the museum in black stilettos and trench coats, which soon hit the floor, along with a few jaws belonging to bewildered art enthusiasts. Talk about a Monet shot!
Decked out in yellow, pink, and royal blue bras and hipster briefs, the trio then prances past a number of paintings as they exit the museum, giggling merrily as they're greeted with catcalls.
Now it's the museum turn to get its knickers in a twist. Calling it a "serious infringement of the Orsay's rights and the rights of others," the museum has threatened to take legal action if the video is not taken offline.
The Musée d'Orsay also argues that filming is prohibited inside its doors and that Etam did not inform them of their plans for the stunt (which, presumably, would have been banned).
On the bright side, we can't think of a better way to boost museum attendance!
