There's some new blood at Mulberry.

The 40-year-old British label has appointed former Hermès managing director Bruno Guillon as its new chief executive, the Financial Times reports.

"I am delighted to be joining Mulberry and look forward to continuing the dynamic success that the group has achieved," Guillon told the paper.

"It is a great English brand with a unique heritage and an exceptional opportunity for growth."

"Bruno brings with him a wealth of luxury goods experience and an ability to drive our ambitious plans for international growth," adds chairman Godrey Davis.

A veteran of Nina Ricci International and LVMH, Guillon is seen as a key player in helping the label broaden its reach in Asia, which has helped it reap huge profits this year.
