It seemed like Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were in the clear back in April when they were acquitted of tax evasion and fraud charges, but last month the ruling was overturned.

And though Stefano Gabbana lashed out on Twitter immediately following the ruling, the design duo now says that they’re in a more relaxed place.

“Our response is simple: We work,” Dolce told Women’s Wear Daily of the ruling.

“Our conscience is clear. The decision is in God’s hands,” added Gabbana. “We pretend it doesn’t exist. It’s not in our thoughts on a daily basis. After two hours it was all gone. Luckily I am not resentful.”

Though all sounds very zen with the designers, it’s clear that the thing they worry about most is losing the ability to work.

“Tomorrow is another day," said Dolce. "We enjoy doing this job with love and we’ve never allowed anyone to interfere with our creativity … I get jealous if an assistant touches our clothes. We never did this for money…please write it down. But don’t touch our job or our clothes. This is all that matters.”
