American Apparel is suing its nail polish manufacturer for allegedly using defective bottles that exploded, the New York Post reports.
The retailer is seeking more than $5 million from the Long Island-based Forsythe Cosmetic Group on claims of fraud, product liability, and breach of contract.
"We wish no ill will toward this fellow American manufacturer, but need to seek a fair and accountable solution to this incident," American Apparel spokesman Ryan Holiday told the paper.
