Safe sex for the style set: Rebecca Minkoff designs condoms for Proper Attire.

Easy, tiger!

Proper Attire has tapped Rebecca Minkoff—who, incidentally, is due to give birth any day now—for its latest edition of designer condoms, and the results are pretty, well, wild.

Launched at the designer’s Spring 2012 show, the ferocious condoms take inspiration from her popular studded and animal-print bags and boast zebra stripes, cheetah spots, and yellow polka dots.

“I loved the idea of designing a condom that was made by a woman for a woman,” Minkoff, who follows in the footsteps of Vena Cava, Charlotte Ronson, and Alexander Wang, says in a press release. “I got to use my classic studded Rebecca Minkoff design and apply it to the packaging, making a condom that girls can feel comfortable carrying with them.”

Rebecca Minkoff was an obvious choice for us to partner with for Proper Attire condoms, the most important accessory a woman can carry,” adds Rachel Molloy, director of branded products. “Rebecca’s best-selling designs are popular with women the world over, and we know our customers will be excited to carry her Proper Attire condom designs.”

With proceeds benefiting Planned Parenthood, the condoms will be sold at RebeccaMinkoff.com, ProperAttireCondoms.com, Minkoff's boutiques, Confederacy in Los Angeles, and the Soho and Tribeca Grand Hotels.

And, in a fitting stroke of genius, each of Minkoff’s Morning After bags and clutches will come outfitted with a condom. Toss in a toothbrush and a change of undies and you’re good to go!
