Brian Reyes Named Tse Creative Consultant
Brian’s back!
After shuttering his eponymous line last year (tear!), Brian Reyes has found himself a new designing gig as creative consultant for the knitwear brand Tse.
“For five years, when someone asked me what other brands I admired and loved were, Tse was in the top three,” Reyes told Women’s Wear Daily. “It’s serendipitous that it came together this way. It’s exciting for me to enter new territory and bring what I love about fashion and print to Tse.”
The designer’s first collection for the company will be Pre-Fall 2012, and WWD reports that he will consult on Fall 2012 as well.
Reyes is the latest in a relatively star-studded lineup of designers who have worked with Tse, including Jason Wu, Richard Chai, and Narciso Rodriguez.
And his loyal followers—celebrity fans includes Rachel Bilson and Julianne Moore—needn’t give up hope that knits will be the only thing we’ll see from him; Reyes doesn’t rule out designing for himself again, albeit under a new set of circumstances.
“If I pursue it down the road, it will be a different business structure,” he said.
His first collection will be revealed in November.
