Isaac Mizrahi will skip this coming Fashion Week, while Avril Lavigne will show her Abbey Dawn line
Looks like we'll be missing Mizrahi this September.
The designer and New York Fashion Week staple will be sitting out the Spring 2012 runway shows for the first time in years, Elle reports.
And you know what this means: no more Technicolor poodles!
"We will be releasing images this season in lieu of a show," his publicist tells the magazine, which speculates that financial issues may have been a deciding factor.
Still, there will be no shortage of sparkle. Avril Lavigne—fresh from boyfriend Brody Jenner's stepsister Kim Kardashian's wedding—will be making her NYFW return with a revamped Abbey Dawn line, which previously showed in 2009.
Scheduled for September 12 at the Style-360 Metropolitan Pavilion, the "high-energy runway fashion show” will feature an expanded offering of dresses, denim, accessories, footwear, and a full men's collection this go-round, Fashionista reports.
Will the presence of sk8rbois be able to make up for the Unzipped-sized hole in our hearts? Only time will tell!
