World’s Most Expensive Flip-Flops Cost $18,000

Unfortunately, you'd pretty much have to be a billionaire to afford the "world's most expensive flip-flops," which boast a jaw-dropping $18,000 price tag. (H.Stern's $17,000 diamond-flecked sandals previously held that title.)
Chipkos commissioned Los Angeles-based artist David Palmer to hand-paint the luxury one-off pair, which boasts yellow straps, its signature square toe, and a colorful swirled base.
Available in a men's size 8/9, the shoes also feature 18 karat gold detailing and come in a mahogany and glass display case.
But it's all for a good cause (or least that's what we'll be telling our bank manager). With the shoe's purchase, Chipkos will protect 100,000 square feet of endangered rainforest.
"We believe that people are ready for a wearable badge to express their support for nature conservation," Chipkos' Chief Nature Ambassador Priya Jaggia says in a press statement.
Guess you can't save a little green with spending a lot of it.
