Missoni Fall 2011 Campaign Video
While print ads can be a gorgeous way to relive those fall collections (February seems so long ago, no?), the one drawback is that they can’t really show how the clothes move.
Missoni set out to remedy this with its Fall 2011 campaign video, shot by photographer (yes, he does stills, too) Mel Bles. The eerie, two minute-long video features models Kinga Rajzak, Valerja Kelava, Kristina Salinovic, and Kaitlin Aas spinning in the label’s layer-heavy fall wares, for an effect not altogether unlike that now-famous Kate Moss hologram for Alexander McQueen.
“It is a collection that has been transformed into the fluttering of contemporary butterflies, a parade of evanescent sylphs, today’s real and intense angels,” reads a release about the video. We’re just interested in all that chiffon and snakeskin—no butterflies necessary.
