Vivienne Westwood Disses Kate Middleton’s Style, Makeup
First it was Viktor & Rolf, then Kelly Osbourne—looks like the fashion world isn’t holding back on what they really think about the Duchess of Cambridge’s look.
The latest to let loose is the (famously uncensored) Vivienne Westwood, who told the Sunday Times Magazine that Catherine’s style is just not up to par.
“I think she’s got a problem with eye makeup,” said Westwood—who, incidentally, had her Fall 2011 runway models made up to look like horses. “The sharp lines around her eyes make her look hard. Either she should be smudgy or wear none.”
The Duchess, who has yet to wear Westwood’s wares in the spotlight, also got called out for her love of high street shopping.
“Let me put it this way,” Westwood continued, according to the Telegraph. “It seems to me, that her image is ‘ordinary woman.’ Therefore, high street shopper. And I just think she should be an extraordinary woman, wherever she gets her clothes from.”
