Donna Karan’s Fall 2011 Ad Campaign, Video
Who says a woman can’t be a political power player—and an impeccably dressed one at that?
Nearly 20 years after a campaign showed model Rosemary McGrotha being sworn into office, Donna Karan is up to her old tricks.
The designer’s fall ads and accompanying video (above) star the gorgeous Brazilian model Isabeli Fontana as a politician (and a mother!), all the while sporting Karan’s chic sheath dresses and a stunning draped jersey gown.
Titled The Power of a Woman, the print campaign and film were shot in New York by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
“For Fall 2011, Donna is once again inspired by a woman empowered,” the company wrote on DKNY’s blog. “She’s powerful because she can be anything—a Senator, a Presidential candidate, a Mother.”
