Coat check: Daria Strokous lights up Jil Sander's Fall 2011 ad campaign.
Daria Strokous seems to be Jil Sander’s go-to girl—the model stars in the brand’s Fall 2011 campaign for the third season in a row.
The ads, described in a release as mirroring “the modernistic graphics and the dynamic shapes [of the collection] in a cinematic atmosphere,” were shot on a black background—all the better to get Daria’s porcelain skin and the clothes’ saturated colors popping, no?—by photographer Willy Vanderperre, who has also worked with Jil Sander for several seasons.
Meanwhile, beauty buffs who fell for the aqua eyeliner and bold red lips the first time around will be pleased to see that the look has returned (courtesy of makeup artist Peter Philips)—even when those eyes are behind a chic pair of specs.
