Azzedine Alaïa has always marched to the beat of his own drummer when it comes to showing his seasonal collections, often hosting intimate presentations in his Paris showroom after fashion week has wrapped. But though he’s eschewed runway shows in the recent past, he will be making an appearance at Paris’s upcoming Couture Week.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the designer has plans to show a collection he described as “semi-couture” during the event, which runs July 4 to 8

Other houses that show during Paris’s Couture Week include Chanel, Elie Saab, Christian Dior, Valentino, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani Privé, and Jean Paul Gaultier, among others.

And, according to reports, Alaïa won’t be the only newcomer of the week; Giambattista Valli will show his first-ever couture collection at the Galerie de la Medeleine.
